For children under 10, the first session is parent-only. This allows time to gather background information, discuss your concerns, and help you prepare your child for the counseling process.
For teens, the first session typically includes both the teen and a parent. This time is used to review policies and procedures, discuss expectations, and begin building the counseling relationship.
For young adults, the first session is individual and focuses on understanding your goals, background, and what brings you to counseling.

Counseling is a collaborative process tailored to each individual's needs. For children, sessions include play-based interventions and may also involve periodic parent consultations to support progress at home. For teens and adults, sessions focus on exploring thoughts, emotions, and developing coping strategies in a supportive space.
Typically, sessions are held once a week to support consistency and progress, though frequency can be adjusted based on individual goals and needs. Together, we will regularly check in on progress and adjust the counseling process as needed.

A Good Faith Estimate is a document that outlines the expected cost of your care. Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are not using insurance may be entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services.
